Emile Alfred Dezaunay (1854-1938/1940), was a French painter who also worked in print-making, drawing and watercolors. In much of his work, he adopted a very distinctive technique with swirling brushstrokes and flickering colors
Dezaunay was a painter of portraits, seascapes and landscapes in his local Brittany. He also frequently painted the port and quaysides of his hometown of Nantes. He regularly exhibited at the the area’s exhibitions of Impressionists and Symbolists in the company of Anquetin, Bernard, Moret, Pissaroand Serusier. [DES-01/16]
