About the Artist
Michel Adrien Servant, French, (1885-1949), was a graduate of L’Ècole Estienne, in Paris and an assistant to the English painter Frank Brangwyn.
Servant’s own artistic career did not develop until the 1920s. Established in the town of Cherbourg in Normandy, he fulfilled numerous community commissions as well as executing portraits and landscapes. [DES-02/16]
