“Stop Motion with Wolf and Pig” by Takeuchi Taijin
Here is a stop-motion animation short film about a hungry wolf and a fleeing pig. It begins as hundreds of printed photographs. The author, Takeuchi Taijin, first used a single-image camera to photographed every image and sequence for the final film.
Standard size photographs were then printed and a stop action film was created as the photographs were arranged in the 3-D space of Taijin’s apartment in the narrative of a classic cartoon chase sequence.
Flowing over the floor, running up and down furniture and traversing the walls, changes in the landscape and perspective of the story line within the film frame skillfully interact with the real-world space of the apartment. Taijin used over 1,300 printed photographs to create this four minute film.
