It will soon be a new year. Watching 2015 end, don’t mistake what seems like a clear view for a short distance. Be sure you are thinking and planning and not just gazing out a window. Indifference and neglect cloud the resolve of existence behind mere subsistence.
Our only claim to uniqueness is our choice of reaction and response to experience. Let’s stop allowing ourselves to be generalized and disgraced for the enrichment of goblins. Let’s don’t be afraid until we have to be.
What though the radiance which was once so bright
Be now for ever taken from my sight,
Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendour in the grass, of glory in the flower;
We will grieve not, rather find
Strength in what remains behind;
In the primal sympathy
Which having been must ever be;
In the soothing thoughts that spring
Out of human suffering;
In the faith that looks through death,
In years that bring the philosophic mind.William Wordsworth. Ode on Intimations of Immortality from Recollections of Early Childhood
