About the Artist:

Kermit Oliver, United States (b. 1943), is a painter. He is a 1967 graduate of Texas Southern University with a B.F.A. Composite Degree of Bachelor of Science-BFA/Art Education.

Oliver is best known for figure and narrative painting incorporating mystical, mythological and religious themes. Oliver is also the only American artist commissioned to design silk scarves for the French fashion house of Hermes, work he has done since 1982. [DES-11/14]
