About the Artist:
Rékassy Csaba, Hungary (1937-1989), was a graphic artist and painter. In his earlier work he was also a versatile artist who also worked in woodcuts, enamel, ceramics, marquetry, and with handmade paper.
Csaba mature drawings and engravings displayed meticulous craftsmanship and intricate thematic details as well as other humorously absurd details and hidden surprises.
He also illustrated novels and educational picture books with great historical and factual accuracy and was married to the graphic artist Ágotha Margit (b. 1938). [DES-11/14]
