Michael Haslam, England, (b.1947), poetry includes: Olwen. Haslam is a poet. He was educated at Peterhouse, Cambridge. In 1970 he moved to Foster Clough, near Hebden Bridge in the Calder Valley and, as he says “by the late 1970s merely living here had become my sole poetic subject”.
Robert Hass, United States, (b. 1941), poetry includes: SEPARATION. Hass is a poet and educator. He received his MA and Ph.D. in English from Stanford University. Hass served as Poet Laureate of the United States from 1995 to 1997. He taught literature and writing 1971 to 1989, at his alma mater St. Mary’s, then transferred to the University of California, Berkeley. He has been a visiting faculty member in the Iowa Writers’ Workshop at the University of Iowa on several occasions, and was a panelist at the Workshop’s 75th anniversary celebration in June 2011.
