Sir Frederick Napier Broome KCMG, Canada/Britain (1842-1896), poetry includes: St. Anne and the Pig. Broome was a colonial administrator in the British Empire. He served in Natal, Mauritius, Western Australia, Barbados and Trinidad. His poem was published in Station Life in New Zealand (1870), a collection of letters home written by his wife, Lady Mary Anne Barker while the couple owned and ran a sheep station in New Zealand.
